A 34 year-old man has been charged with criminal damage following an incident at Birkenhead library yesterday.
Police were called to the library on Borough Road at around 12pm.
Officers requested an two ambluances, which arrived at the scene around 30 minutes later.
The North West Ambulance Service has confirmed they took one person to hospital after they suffered chest pains, but they were unable to provide any futher details at this stage.
Jamie Heady, of Southwood Road, Liverpool, was released on conditional bail to appear before Wirral Magistrates Court on Wednesday August 3
