Police are appealing for the public's help in finding an 84-year-old Wirral man who went missing from a care home late last night.
Officers have been searching Hoylake and the surrounding area all night following Edward Don's disappearance from Hilbre Court nursing home in Barton Road.
Mr Don was discovered mssing at around 9pm but despite extensive efforts to find him he remains outstanding and officers and care home staff are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
He is around 5ft tall, of heavy build with a predominantly bald head and whispy grey hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark blue jumper, black trousers and brown shoes with velcro straps.
Officers are urgently appealing for people in Wirral to keep an eye out for anyone they see who matches Mr Don's description and to call the non-emergency 101 number if they believe they have seen him.
