A RECORD number of cyclists took to their saddles for charity during the 23rd annual Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool bike ride.
Organisers say 3,000 took part in Sunday's event.
The event featured six different routes over four distances ranging from five to 100 miles.
Those taking part rode through some of Merseyside and Cheshire’s most picturesque locations including Neston, Wirral and Delamere Forest in the heart of the Cheshire countryside
Event organisers, Pennine Events, had said it was the most successful event to date.

It raised more than £26,000 for their sponsored charity Claire House Hospice last year and the hoped is to raise more than £30,000 this year.
Sue White, one of the organisers, said: "It was a fantastic event – definitely one of our most successful to date.
"The sun came out and the riders turned out in their thousands raising lots of money for good causes at the same time.
"We have the date set for 2017 already so would urge everyone to keep an eye on our website for when entries open."
