THE sister of a Wirral mum who disappeared more than a week ago has made an emotional appeal for her to get in touch.

Joanne Williams, from Port Sunlight, was last seen by relatives a week on Friday and is reported to have been spotted the following Monday near St Catherine's Hospital in Birkenhead.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the 32-year-old's disappearance, which has been described by sister Claire Williams as out of character.

Claire told the Globe today: "All we want is for Joanne to get in touch to let us know she's okay.

"She just disappeared and it's not like her to do that.

"No-one's heard from her and we've tried to reach her on her mobile, which seems to be switched off.

"I just don't know where she is. We want her to come home.

"She's normally very happy and caring. Her three-year-old daughter Lyla is missing her.

"The police have done all they can to try to find her.

"If she is reading this, get in touch."

Police are appealing to anyone who has information on Joanne's whereabouts to call 0151 777 2014.
