WIRRAL teenagers are being invited to a special party celebrate the launch of new council website designed especially for them.

The site called “Teenwirral” went live last week and is aimed at young people across the borough.

It has been created with the help of local young people including youth hubs, students of Hilbre High School and Teenwirral readers.

Councillor Tony Smith, cabinet member for children and family services, said: “With a clean look and simplified design, Teenwirral is now responsive on mobiles and tablets.

“It features a brand-new logo chosen by young people plus advice and support on subjects ranging from pregnancy and gender identity to mental health and stop smoking support.

“Local advice agencies for teenagers are also profiled on the site such as the Response service, which offers counselling, housing information, and more.”

A party to celebrate the launch will take place on Wednesday, June 15, from 7pm to 9.30pm, at Wallasey Youth Hub and will gather young people and youth service staff together with music, food and fancy dress.

Those who would like to attend are advised to just turn up.
