WIRRAL is set to welcome a brand new music festival next month.
West Kirby Live will be taking over ten venues and showcasing more than 80 performers when it launches on June 4.
The festival has chosen to raise money for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.
One of the event’s organisers, Tom Longman said: “Our plan was to start something new.
“The Oxjam festival has not taken place for a couple of years, so we thought we would bring music back to West Kirby.”
Admission into any of the venues will be free, with organisers placing collection buckets around, allowing people to make donations to Clatterbridge instead.
The event will run start at around 1pm and will finish at 11pm.
“Martin Moseley, who puts on a lot of gigs around Merseyside and Cheshire has been helping us organise the festival, as well as Luke and Pam Millward-Browning- it has taken us more than a year.” Tom added.
“We decided to support Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as Luke works at Clatterbridge so we felt it was a great cause that we all wanted to support.”
“We have been amazed by the reaction of performers so far, acts are travelling from as far as Moscow to be a part of our festival- it is incredible.”
