A MEMORIAL service for bereaved parents will take place in the chapel at Arrowe Park Hospital next week.
The event, on Thursday, May 19, is organised by senior neonatal nursing staff who recognised the need to give people who have lost a child a chance to remember their babies with others who have been through similar situations.
There will be readings from medical staff and music.
Its organiser Linda Renmans, said: "The last thing that expectant and new parents dream of is saying goodbye to their precious baby.
"An early or late miscarriage, an ectopic or molar pregnancy, babies born asleep or any other type of baby or child loss is devastating to those involved and this service offers an opportunity to be with other people who understand how it feels.
"Whether the loss is recent or many years ago and whether you are a grieving mum, dad, relative or friend, everyone is welcome to attend.”
The service starts at 7.30pm.
