A COLLECTION of films featuring life in Wirral over the last 100 years will be shown during a special screening tonight.
Footage of Neston Ladies Walking Day in 1910 and the Royal Visit to Liverpool in 1913 by King George V and Queen Mary features in the North West Film Archive's compilation, which will be screened at the Gladstone Theatre in Port Sunlight.
There is also a tour of Lever Brothers Port Sunlight factory. filmed in 1931 and a look at the decline of New Brighton funfair in the BBC TV program Nairn's North from 1967.
And finally we see how the city of Liverpool promoted the area in a publicity film called She's A Lady from 1971.
The archive's service manager Marion Hewitt said: "This is a great opportunity for the people of the Wirral and the local area to enjoy an evening with a difference, and take a look back at life in and around their location in the past century."
