Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Merseyside Police have today re-arrested and charged a 25-year-old man from Birkenhead on suspicion of the murder of 16-year-old Lewis Dunne.
Jake Michael Culshaw, of Penrith Street, will appear at Liverpool and Knowsley Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with the murder of Lewis on November 15, last year.
Lewis was shot in the Eldonian Village near the Leeds-Liverpool canal in the Vauxhall area of the city.
He was taken to the Royal hospital where he died a short time later.
