BIRKENHEAD Park received a visit from a very special guest today to mark their 169th birthday.
Princess Anne was transported by Royal helicopter to the historic park as part of her visit to the North West.
The Princess Royal met park manager Paul Davies, who said it was an honour.
She then visited one of the UK’s leading manufacturers Heap and Partners in Corporation Road for their 150th anniversary celebrations before leaving at 2pm heading to the Liverpool Waters site.
