A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run in West Kirby that left a teenager critically ill in hospital with serious head injuries.
The incident took place in Grange Road last night.
Following extensive enquiries, a 21-year-old man from Hoylake was arrested this morning on suspicion of failing to stop, causing serious injury through dangerous driving, and drink driving.
He has been taken into custody and will be questioned later today by detectives.
The vehicle involved, a silver Vauxhall Corsa, was located in Harrington Road and has been forensically recovered.
