TRANMERE Rovers' manager Gary Brabin has called for fans' unconditional support ahead of this weekend's crucial home game against Forest Green.

During a press conference at Prenton Park this afternoon, he said their 100% backing would boost the players in the push for promotion back into league football.

Rovers, currently fourth in the National League table, have eight games left to this season - five at Prenton Park.

Forest Green are currently two places above them.

Brabin said: "We are in the run-in now, we have some really big home games ahead.

"We need our support 100% behind us to be a part of what we hope is a big chapter in the club's history.

"We are confident going into every game that we can get the points and goals.

"We're playing for something at the end of the season, hopefully something successful, and if we can get the supporters behind us, it's a 12th man for us."

Assessing the squad's temperament, he continued: "The lads react to the challenge.

"I want good, competitive players going into the final games of the season.

"We know we have no divine right to win and the fixtures are tough for everyone.

"Every game we are playing now is the biggest game.
