Emergency services cordon off Shavington Avenue following this morning's incident
A MAN has been detained under the Mental Health Act following an incident at a house in Oxton.
Police were called to a house on Shavington Avenue at around 10.45am to a report that a man was on the roof.
As a safety precaution, police cordoned off the area and Townfield Lane and Shavington Avenue were closed to traffic and pedestrians.
The man was talked down from the roof by police negotiators and has been taken to hospital.
