A MOTORIST was taken to hospital for treatment after a three-vehicle crash in Wallasey.
Emergency services were called to Mill Lane on Monday afternoon.
The occupants of two of the cars had got out of their cars but a 57-year-old man in the other vehicle was experiencing pain in his neck and back.
Firefighters prepared to remove the car's door and door pillar so the driver could be removed without further injury.
He was stabilised with a brace used to reduce the possibility of further injury when removing casualties from a vehicle involved in a collision.
After assessment the man was able to leave the vehicle without the removal of the door and post.
He was then transported to Arrowe Park Hospital for further treatment.
Two fire engines and the rescue team were called out and were at the scene for around 25 minutes.
