RESIDENTS in Wirral West are being encouraged to share their treasured local views for a new project.
Wirral West Constituency Committee has funding available for new benches across the area, and is inviting the public to suggest where they should go as part of the Special Places scheme.
There is £5,000 is available, which is expected result in two new benches in each of the constituency's five wards.
Cllr Jeff Green, chair of the constituency committee, said: "In coming up with the idea for this project, the committee was keen to use its funding for small improvements which can make a big difference and to highlight the fantastic places which make Wirral West so special.
"We want the public to tell us about the places and locations which are special to them; a place where they would like to be able to come, sit down and take in the view or surroundings.
"All residents need to do to get involved is to tell the Constituency Team where they think a bench should be located."
Residents can email helengallagher@wirral.gov.uk and write to Helen Gallagher at West Kirby Library and One Stop Shop at West Kirby Concourse.
You can also tweet pictures with the hashtag #WWSpecialPlaces or post a suggestion on the Love Wirral Facebook site at www.facebook.com/lovewirral.
Readers should get in touch with their ideas for locations before the end of February.
