AS well as an opportunity to join in popular carols, people who attend Sale Male Voice Choir’s Christmas concert will enjoy seassonal songs with a continental theme performed by the choir.
They plan to sing Piper’s Carol, from Italy, Hush Hush Jesus is Sleeping with a German folk tune, Russian Carol and Shepherds, and Shake off your Drowsy Sleep from France.
They will also sing the beautiful Victorian carol O Holy Night by Alphonse Adam.
The songs will be interspersed with seasonal readings.
There’ll be a raffle.
• The concert takes place at Timperley Congregational Church, Heyes Lane, Timperley on Thursday, December 17 at 7.30.
Admission is £5 including hot drinks and mince pies. Childen are free and there are reductions for groups of over four.
