STRONG winds and high tides are forecast for Wirral this weekend, with people urged to take care when visiting coastal area.

Wirral Council has issued a warning on its website as tidal overtopping and flooding is for two hours either side of high tide on Saturday (between 0.13am and 1.15pm) and Sunday (0.57am and 1.15pm).

South Parade in West Kirby, North Parade in Hoylake, Meols Parade in Meols and Kings Parade and Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton are all expected to experience flooding.
