STUDENTS at a Wirral school have been cooking up a treat as part of Enterprise Week.
Wirral Hospitals' School pupils carried out a variety of enterprise-themed activities last week aimed at developing their teamwork, creativity and communication skills.
The students worked in teams, having been given £5 to invest with the aim of making a profit for Children in Need. They actively engaged in negotiating for donations from local retailers in Claughton Village and Birkenhead.
Headteacher Derek Kitchin said: "Preparing for a life of work and enterprise is one of the key values at our school. This week has given our students concrete experience in some of the challenges they will face in later life."
The week culminated in a 'Market Place' where students pitched their mini business ideas to a team of judges who were invited to a business lunch prepared and served by students studying catering.
