Queuing traffic following four-vehicle crash on M53 this morning
A FOUR-vehicle pile-up has led to the closure of the soutbound lane of M53 heading towards Ellesmere Port.
Emergency services were called to the incident which took place between junctions four and five at around 8.15am.
Lane two is closed heading away from Birkenhead towards Chester.
At this stage there are no reports of any injuries.
