A WIRRAL woman locked horns with X Factor judge Simon Cowell after her rendetion of Ave Maria didn't go as well as she hoped.
Mary O'Sullivan, from Oxton, performed the classic in the hope of getting through to the boot camp stage.
But the judges were less than impressed.
Rita Ora compared her rendeition to ‘Songs Of Praise’ but Mary said: "I have a good voice. I think you're very severe. It takes a lot of bottle to get up here."
The yoga teacher then asked to sing another song, leaving Cowell shocked.
He said: "I like you because you're quite ballsy" to which Mary replied: "But you're caustic."
Mary didn't get through to the next round and dismissed the judges as a "mean bunch".
