TRAINS travelling between Chester and Liverpool Central are subject to delays after a truck crashed into a railway bridge in Rock Ferry.
Emergency services were called to Union Street in Rock Ferry just after 10am, following calls that a lorry had hit the bridge.
There are no reports of any injuries.
Merseyrail said that as a result services between may be terminated at and started back from Rock Ferry. Disruption is expected until 11.30am.
There is no formal road closure in place, but motorists are being diverted away from Union Street.
Engineers are now on site checking the bridge. Services to Ellesmere Port and Chester are still disrupted. Updates will follow.
