A NARRATIVE conclusion has been reached after a Wirral father-of-two was found dead at home.

An inquest held in Liverpool this afternoon heard that Steven Minshall, 26, was found by close friend Lauren Owen when she called at his flat in Wright Street, Wallasey, on the night of July 14 this year.

Coroner's officer Donald Johnstone said Mr Minshall had exchanged text messages with Miss Owen the night before he was found and had even suggested buying something on e-Bay.

He then sent several text messages in which he appeared upset.

In his final message, he wrote: "That's it, I’m sorry."

A subsequent police investigation found no suspicious circumstances.

A family member told assistant coroner David Lewis: "Steven was just down, but there was nothing that would make us think anything was about to happen.”

Recording a narrative conclusion, Mr Lewis said: "There was a long period of emails which ended with the words 'That’s it I'm sorry' but we will never know what he meant by that.

"I'm satisfied Steven was responsible for what happened, but I can’t be sure that was the outcome he wanted.”
