A WIRRAL Post Office and coffee shop were broken into on the same night by what police believe was the same group of people.
Detectives have launched an investigation into the two burglaries, which both happened in the early hours of Thursday.
Police were called to the Post Office on Teehey Lane, Higher Bebington, at around 3am after reports that the alarm had been activated.
It is believed that three young men broke into the premises by smashing the window. All three were seen making off down Roland Avenue towards Town Lane.
A short time later, three young men of a similar description broke into Benricks Coffee on Woodchurch Road before making off on a small motorbike towards the motorway.
Nothing was taken from the Post Office but it is believed a small quantity of cash was taken from the till at Benricks Coffee
A full investigation is underway.
