POLICE are appealing for the public’s help in their search for a Merseyside teenager who has been missing for almost a week.

Michael Smith, 16, was last seen in Huyton at 1pm on Tuesday, August 18 and has not been in touch since.

He is 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, has blue eyes and dyed black hair which is shaved at the sides and longer on top with a quiff.

He also has pierced ears and, when last seen, was wearing a long-sleeved black t-shirt with a white I LV NEW YORK logo in the middle, grey combat trousers and black boots.

He is known to have links to Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton, Skelmersdale and Lincolnshire and may have travelled outside of the Merseyside area.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for Michael due to his age and the length of the time he has not been seen.

Anyone who has seen a boy resembling Michael or knows where Michael is should call Merseyside Police on 101 and ask for the Knowsley control room.
