NEW BRIGHTON'S Floral Pavilion is offering dogs from across Wirral the ultimate cool down during the hotter weather.

Located within the theatre's Carrington cafe, staff will be serving up ice-cream style nutritious treats.

Both dairy-free and 100% vegertarian, the iced treats are designed exclusively for canines.

They have been created by independent food brand Billy and Margot, which successfully received investment on Dragon’s Den by businesswoman and entrepreneur Deborah Meaden.

Director of Carringtons Catering Helen Wynn said: “The café is such a popular venue all year round due to its prominent location, but especially throughout the summer months we see an increase in visitors bringing their puppy pals along with them.

“Having always welcomed well behaved dogs onto the premises, we wanted to do something special that was exclusive to the Floral Pavilion. We noticed that many dogs were having a bit of a ‘ruff’ time waiting around for their owners to finish up their coffee and cakes, so we decided to incorporate an offering to keep the canines from going barking mad.”

With more than 35 years’ experience, Carringtons Catering is one of the North West’s longest standing independent firms, providing bespoke catering, event and hospitality services.

With an emphasis on attention to detail, the firm is known to ‘go the extra mile’ when it comes to offering services that perfectly enhance the tone and style of the event.

Helen added: “As a business, we are always coming up with new and innovative ways to excite our customers’ palates – no matter whether they have two legs or four.”

The nutritious iced doggy treats come in three flavours – strawberry and apple; apple, banana and carrot and honey and banana.
