A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap after reports that a woman was seen being pulled into a car in Liscard.
Police were called to Cromer Drive at about 6.30pm on Sunday after reports that a woman had been pulled into a silver car.
Police attended and a search of the area was undertaken.
Extensive enquiries were undertaken resulting in officers locating the car involved in the incident in Swinton, Salford.
Officers found the driver of the vehicle and the woman together in a house nearby.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "The woman was safe and well. The driver, who is 37, was arrested on suspicion of assault and kidnap.
"The woman, who is 29, is to be spoken to by police about the matter.
"Both the driver and the woman are known to each other.
"An investigation into the full circumstances of the incident is on-going."
