A FAMILY run and picnic marking the first anniversary of Port Sunlight River Park's opening takes place this Sunday, August 16.

The 5k run starts at 9.30am at Mersey View car park, followed by a dog-walk at midday.

Wool I never...

A POP-up wool show will be held at the Oval leisure centre in Bebington this weekend to raise funds for the Newborn Appeal.

The event opens on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and is for anyone with a love of craft and all things woollen. It will feature knitters, weavers, spinners, natural yarn dyers and felt workers displaying their skills.

Along with the many displays, stands will also be selling a mixture of completed goods ready to wear as well as supplies for crafters to make their own masterpieces.
