Police negotiators stop teenager jumping into water near Birkenhead dockland
POLICE negotiators stopped a teenager from carrying out her threat to jump into water near dockland in Birkenhead.
Emergency services were called to East Float Quay on Monday night, following a missing from home report and concerns for the safety of a 19-year-old woman.
Police attended and, assisted by air support and the coastguard, carried out a search of the area was conducted.
The woman was found in a distressed state near to East Float Quay and taken to hospital for assessment.
