A CHARITY exercise class with a difference will take place later this month to raise money for the fight against cancer.

On Saturday, July 25, between 1pm and 3pm, Woodchurch leisure centre will host Rave For Life, a fund-raising fitness class to support Cancer Research based on the incredibly popular Race For Life event.

The centre will be transformed into a club, complete with its own bouncer, free glowsticks and facepaint!

The event has been organised by Wirral’s Invigor8 leisure centres in association with Cancer Research, with all proceeds going to the charity.

Entrants are asked to donate £5 on entering the event, and in return will receive a goody bag with a wristband, glow in the dark face paint, glow sticks, a bottle of water and a lollipop.

The two-hour class will be similar to Invigor8’s "Clubbercise" class, but on a much larger scale.

Councillor Chris Meaden, cabinet member for leisure, sport and culture, said: "As part of our commitment to offering leisure and cultural activities for all, Rave For Life is a fun way to attract adventurous, community-spirited people to support a good cause and try out our exercise classes at the same time.

"Cancer affects so many people in Wirral, so this is a really positive use of one of our leisure centres to raise funds and awareness."
