TRANMERE Rovers have signed striker Andy Mangan on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old spent last season in League Two with Shrewsbury Town, scoring 10 goals, including strikes against Premier League sides Leicester City and Chelsea in the Capital One Cup, as he helped the Shrews to promotion into League One.
He also has two promotions out of the National League (Conference) on his C.V. having helped both Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood Town to the league title in 2005-06 and 2011-12 respectively.
The forward has also had spells with Blackpool, Bury, Forest Green Rovers and Wrexham.
Manager Gary Brabin said: "I'm really pleased to be able to sign Andy. He has just been a part of a side that has won promotion into League One but he also knows this division well.
"He is a natural goalscorer and a local lad and a good character so I’m sure he will fit into the squad very well."
