TWO youths were arrested in the early hours of Thursday after police chased a stolen car.
Officers received a report at 11.50pm on Wednesday that burglars had broken into a house on Malpas Drive in Wallasey and taken car keys.
They then stole a black Volvo from the address and headed off towards New Brighton.
Police patrols and the force helicopter followed the vehicle until it crashed into concrete bollards on Atherton Street.
Five men bailed out and two were detained and arrested.
A full investigation to find the three outstanding suspects is underway and officers are asking anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact them.
Two 18-year olds from Birkenhead and Prenton were held on suspicion of burglary.
