Man rescued from Wirral flat after kitchen fire
A MAN was rescued from a flat in Birkenhead after a pan of food caught fire.
Crews from Birkenhead, Wallasey and Upton community fire stations were called to a three-storey building in Lorne Road on Sunday night.
The fire was extinguished by 10.47pm and firefighters ventilated the flat to clear it of smoke.
The man was taken by ambulance to hospital for checks.
