Re: Respect right to wear veil in court, urges top judge (LT, April 18).
This judge is wrong to say that judges must have an ‘understan-ding of different cultural and social habits’ to show fairness to those involved in trials.
He should know very well that ALL witnesses/suspects giving evidence in our courts should show respect for our culture, values, and expectations, not the other way round.
