A KNUTSFORD bride-to-be has been talking about the moment she came face to face with Labour leader Ed Miliband.

Solicitor Nicola Braithwaite, 28, had gone to Chester to celebrate her up coming marriage to architect Howard Clayton, 29, when she bumped into Mr Miliband who was out campaigning for next month's General Election in Cheshire.

She said: "There were 25 of us who went for afternoon tea as part of my hen weekend. One of the girls came into the hotel and said she had spotted the campaign bus was parked outside.

"I went out and asked one of his aides if I could meet him and he took me on board.

"I sat down with Mr Miliband and he asked me about myself and my future husband and about the wedding and just some general conversation, before his aide asked me if I wanted him to take a photo.

"We then shook hands, but he then followed me off the bus, where he chatted with the other hens who were delighted to have selfie pics taken with him.

"Mr Miliband certainly gets my vote!"

After the chance meeting, the group went on a night out in Chester little realising that their meet had been filmed and was about to go viral on the social media.

"We had no idea anyone apart from us had recorded the event but it was really incredible because on Sunday we were all over the newspapers."

The Guardian asked Nicola if Mr Milband would be invited to her wedding day on June 13.

"I did put something on Twitter to the effect that we would be inviting him to the wedding but we don't expect that he will turn up, nevertheless it was great meeting him!"
