A FAMILY celebration spanned 100 years this week as great-grandmother Joan Fidler marked her centenary alongside newborn great-granddaughter Chloe.
Joan, from Wallasey, marked her 100th birthday on Saturday, April 11 with a party and a card from the Queen.
Born in Tidworth, Hampshire in 1915, Joan moved to Wallasey in 1938 after her husband William was accepted as a police constable in the Wirral force.
They married at Emmanuel Church on Seabank Road on October 4, 1939 and went on to have two children, John and David.
Joan - who has three grandchildren and six great grandchildren - has lived in Wallasey for 76 years and has been involved with a number of interests, including working with 3rd Wallasey Boys Brigade for more than 40 years.
Her birthday celebrations took place at Claremount Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, where she joined by her latest great-granddaughter Chloe, who was born on February 12.
Wish Joan a happy birthday below.
