WIRRAL'S drug and alcohol service will have a new name from next week.

Wirral Ways to Recovery, as it will be known from Wednesday, is a multi-agency partnership, led by national social care and health charity, CRI, and commissioned by Wirral Council.

The partnership provides localised support to Wirral residents through treatment and recovery hubs, outreach support and community engagement, and seeks to actively engage those that need it, encouraging increased contact and structured support to promote healthier living.

Peter Furlong, implementation manager said: "This brand and name is the result of extensive service user consultation and epitomises the co-production ethos of the partnership, we seek to work with individuals to become reconnected with the communities they live in as viable assets and positive role models to others seeking change."

There are recovery Hubs in Conway Street, Birkenhead, Argyle Street, Birkenhead and Ashton House in Chadwick Street, Moreton.
