A WIRRAL firm has seen turnover and staff numbers rocket by 50pc over the last year, following a nationwide sales surge.

Innov8 offers specialisms in construction design management and site safety services.

Its end-of-year accounts show turnover rising past £700,000, a major leap from £440,000 in 2013.

According to managing director Alan Robson, the company's expansion has been driven by securing project in Merseyside, Manchester, Leeds, London and Edinburgh.

The firm has secured new contracts in commercial, healthcare, maritime and education sectors.

Mr Robson said: “Innov8 has recorded strong and sustainable growth over the last seven years.

“However, our ambition to expand beyond the North West region and roll-out services nationally has greatly helped to drive turnover in the last year.

"We are now keen to capitalise on this progress and are launching an ambitious three-year growth strategy to take turnover past the £1million barrier."

Recent high-profile projects include healthcare work in Northumberland, Liverpool, Chester and London.

It has secured residential contracts with Liverpool-based Riverside Group and Great Places in Blackpool. Meanwhile, education projects have included work in Yorkshire and Wirral.
