A FABULOUS feast of food, drink, music and culture returns to Wirral’s Claremont Farm this summer with a whole host of famous faces and tasty treats.

Two day festival Farm Feast takes place slightly later this year in the hope of attracting finer weather and even more people.

Taking place on June 13 and June 14, the festival is celebrating everything that’s home-grown with the very best of the region’s finest food and grassroots music performers set to return.

Organisers, Claremont Farm's Andrew Pimbley and his team have some very exciting treats and additions in store for Farm Feast, while keeping quality local, seasonal and artisan food and drink at its heart.

Signed up for the summer festival this year is chef and British baker John Whaite – who won the Great British Bake Off in 2012 - children’s TV presenter Katy Ashworth – a familiar face to CBeebies views – and curry evangelist and Mowgli founder Nisha Katona.

Wirral is home to some of the region’s finest producers and Farm Feast can prove it.

Festival favourites including The Ship & Mitre Beer Tent, Beer & Cider Festival, Little Feasters, the Good Life Marquee, a Chefs’ Demo stage, International Street Food, Sheep Show and Vintage Village return to showcase the breadth of food and drink expertise that’s fresh, home-grown and locally sourced.

Music will be programmed by Mellowtone on the courtyard stage with Bido Lito and Dovedale Social programming the main stage, with acts to be announced.

Andrew Pimbley – whose family run farm at Claremont was home to the annual Wirral Food and Drink Festival – said last year’s event was exhilarating and challenged, but nothing beats being able to hold a festival in your own back garden.

“My ambition for Farm Feast was to always celebrate everything that’s local and from the region so food, drink and music,” said Andrew.

“It’s celebrating everything that makes us happy and healthy, from the community around us. We’re a unique festival in the heart of the Wirral countryside.

“It’s over 30 years that we’ve had the farm shop here in Bebington so we’ve fed a generation of people who’ll probably be bringing their own children to Farm Feast this year.”

Tickets for Farm Feast 2015 are available at Early Bird prices until Monday, April 6.
