A FORMER school cleaner from Wirral has rented a remote Fijian island and vowed to change the lives of six lucky individuals by whisking them away and turning their dreams into reality.

Mark Bowness, from Hoylake, has leased remote Vorovoro and launched a global search to find the six people who most deserve to be flown to the island.

The 35-year-old former school cleaner turned life coach will fly the six unknowns across the world to the 200 acre island where they will work with a team of experts to transform themselves and make their business and lifestyle dreams come true.

Mark experienced his own “life change” when his marriage ended nine years ago.

He hit rock bottom and tried to end his own life, but woke up in hospital with what he calls a “profound realisation of how precious life is”.

Three months later, he leased Vorovoro and set up Tribewanted – an off-grid community experience for independent travellers, families and groups - with a friend. The TV show that followed was screened in the US and Australia as well as the UK.

“Before my attempted suicide I was living a treadmill existence. I realised how precious life really is and I was determined to live it to the full,” said Mark.

“I am now giving six people an all expenses paid opportunity to visit the same remote 200 acre-island in Fiji. They will be put through their paces by a life coach, a personal trainer and a business coach.

“Together we will ensure that their life will never be the same again.”

More than 600 hopefuls, including 250 from the UK, have already applied for the opportunity at ThisIsYourLifeChange.com and thousands more are expected to follow suit.

The eventual winners will have business or charity plans which will have a transformative effect on their home communities.

Their prize, worth £100,000, will include an island boot camp and intensive life and business coaching with all the tools they will need to turn their dreams into fully fledged realities.

Mark added: “You could be a teenage mum in New York, a corporate lawyer in London or an unemployed graduate in Melbourne. You could literally be anyone, from anywhere in the world.

“Whoever you are and wherever you are from you will have one thing in common – a deep down belief that the life that you are living now is a life that is standing in the shadows of the one that you know you were created to live and an undeterred passion to make that change.”

Mark’s team includes business coach, Ryan Magdziarz and personal trainer, Sofia Toumbas, both from Australia. They will challenge the six participants to overcome fears, gain new levels of confidence and deal with negative experiences of the past.
