A WALLASEY man has appeared in court charged with stealing more than £46,000 from an electrical parts supplier.

Paul Anthony Davies was in the dock at Wirral magistrates court on Wednesday accused of three counts of fraud by false representation totalling £47,196.72 .

All three charges relate to his former employer, CMR Supply and Services - a Birkenhead-based company which specialises in the supply of electrical parts.

The 48-year-old, of Danehurst Road, is said to have made a false representation between December 1, 2013 and January 8, 2014 by submitting invoices for a fictitious company called ‘GamesParts4U’ to “make a gain” of £8,525.50.

Davies also faces two further charges of fraud, one of submitting a separate set of false invoices between March 2, 2013 and January 29, 2014 for a fictitious company called ‘Brogans Emporium’, again intending to make a gain of £32,961.

The final charge relates to the use of CMR’s eBay and PayPal account, which Davies is accused of using between May 7, 2012 and July 28, 2014 to make a gain of £5,710.22 for himself.

Davies, who spoke only to confirm his name and address, did not enter a plea and will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on May 6.
