STAFF and pupils at a Wirral special needs school have been getting into the festive spirit today as part of National Christmas Jumper Day.

Rocking an array of seasonal knitwear, pupils at the Lyndale School in Eastham are helping to raise vital funds for Save the Children.

Millions of people across the country are wearing their Christmas jumpers to work and school today as part of the fundraising campaign.

School children are being asked to donate £1 to the charity and grown-ups £2.

Staff at the Globe have also been taking part.
