FOUR choirs from across Wirral have joined forces to produce a charity Christmas CD that will be sold to raise funds for Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Magenta Voices, the housing providers own choir, sang on the CD alongside supported housing residents from Brackendale and Sunningdale, and children from New Brighton Primary School.

The 11 tracks include old Christmas favourites such as Jingle Bells and We Three Kings, plus Pigs in Blankets, written specially for the CD by Sunningdale’s The Sunny Singers.

Chief executive of Magenta Living, Brian Simpson, said: “We first chose Claire House as our charity in 2011 and this is our 3rd year raising vital funds for the very deserving cause.

“Staff have raised over £8,000 in total, supporting the charity and the families that use their services. Ending our fund-raising year on a high note, literally, is very appropriate.”

The CD is on sale at Magenta Living’s head office in Partnership Building, Birkenhead, with all proceeds going straight to Claire House.
