SILENCE fell across the borough as Wirral's communities came together to remember their fallen.
Tributes were paid to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts across the world during Remembrance Sunday, with around 100 people also gathering at The Cenotaph in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, on Armistice Day for a two minutes' silence.
Wirral schools also played their part in remembering the fallen, making poppies and holding their own services.
