A WIRRAL policeman fell 10,000 feet in a tandem skydive and raised £500 for a charity helping people with learning difficulties.
Proceeds from John Sacker's courageous act will go to Wirral Mencap.
Admitting he has a fear of heights, John said: "I was terrfied. It was a real mix of emotions and adrenelin but such an amazing experience and all for a good cause".
John, a neighbourhood inspector from Birkenhead, champions disability hate crime and works closely with organisations that provide help and support, such as Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust at Ashton House in Oxton and Wirral Mencap and their respective service users.
He said: "Wirral Mencap provides help, care and ongoing support to families and people dealing with learning difficulties in Wirral.
"Although Mencap is a national organisation, the local offices, such as Wirral Mencap, are responsible for raising the funds for their area.
"They provide care and ongoing support to families and individuals in Wirral who are dealing with learning difficulties.”
