THREE people have been taken to hospital following a serious collision in Prenton.
Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses following the two vehicle collision, which happened on Woodchurch Road at around 11.30am on Monday.
On arrival, patrols from Matrix Serious Organised Crime Roads Policing Unit found that a Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Transit van had been in a collision.
Two men - who were in the Corsa - both suffered injuries believed to be serious and have been taken to hospital.
The van driver suffered minor injuries and has also been taken to hospital as a precaution.
The road remains closed in both directions between Arrowe Park and Ackers Road while enquiries are carried out at the scene.
