RELATIVELY speaking, Julia's the Top of the Pops in this special five generation dynasty.

But what's in a name?

Well, when it comes to Julia . . it's very important to one family.

To celebrate the ongoing presence of the name Julia, a special reunion took place at Birch Tree Manor nursing home in Port Sunlight this week when a family get-together saw the oldest and youngest Julia meet for the first time.

The Globe was on hand to capture an emotional get-together when great granny Julia met great grand-daughter Sophia Julia . . . with other generations in between.

Rachel Julia Skal, who lives in Cheltenham, travelled to Wirral to celebrate Julia, 97, meeting eight-month old Sophia Julia.

"We are so proud of the name," she told the Globe.

"It has been in the family since the family first came over from Ireland to Liverpool then settling in Port Sunlight.

"The name Julia has featured throughout five generations.

"I feel proud to have the name Julia which has been in our family for generations and pleased to pass it onto my daughter who, hopefully, will keep up the family tradition.

"Julia Higgins' mother-in-law was also called Julia, where the tradition for our lovely name began."
