THIS is the dramatic moment a tornado was seen blowing across the M53 motorway in Wirral.
Video footage posted on YouTube shows the twister forming close to junction 6 at Vauxhall Motors.
The Met Office has confirmed the unusual sighting was in fact a tornado.
Matthew Hughes and Rob Halley posted the video on YouTube after spotting the rotating column of air as they drove along the motorway on Wednesday.
The tornado is not the first unusual weather sighting in Wirral in recent months.
