A TRIBUTE to legendary American rock band The Eagles returns to the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton as part of its current tour later this week.

The Ultimate Eagles will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of their idols' multi-million selling reformation album, Hell Freezes Over, during the show on Friday, September 19.

The original Eagles formed in 1971 and their many hits included Hotel California, Desperado, Taking It Easy and Take It to The Limit.

The band split in 1980, but reformed in 1994, releasing Hell Freezes Over in the same year.

Ultimate Eagles will pay homage to their idols' musical milestone by playing tracks from this multi-million selling album during their show.

In the three short years since it formed, the band has performed to a worldwide audience of more than 200,000 people and have in excess of three million You Tube hits.

Their current show is described as 'completely acoustic, up close and personal' and includes Hotel California.

Looking forward to returning to the Floral Pavilion this week, the band's American-born founder Danny Vaughn told the Globe: "We played there during our first UK tour and remember we had about 800 people in. It's a venue we're very much looking forward to coming back.

"It's the 20th anniversary of Hell Freezes Over, so we will give people stuff from the album and some new songs."

Since the band formed in 2010 they've toured constantly; selling out theatres throughout Europe, and playing at major music festivals such as Bospop in the Netherlands, the annual Harley Davidson rallies in Italy, and for the past two years at the request of Radio Two breakfast and One Show presenter Chris Evans for his motorcar and music festival Carfest.

They are considered to be the best Eagles tribute in Europe, if not the world, and people do come out time and time again to see them play.

Danny Vaughn said: "The fans are really important to us and the band's popularity grows, it's a case of bigger, better, faster, more.

"We try very hard to do two things; one, to entertain; the other, to bring the music as close to the original as possible.

"It's hard to recreate stuff like Hotel California, for example, so we have to pick and choose our set very carefully and make sure we get the music right.

"With certain bands, like The Eagles, there are fans who know every note. If we play it wrong, they know."

The original Eagles were formed in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner.

With five number-one singles, six Grammy Awards, five American Music Awards and six number one albums, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s.

Danny said: "I grew up in America and, for me, The Eagles were there throughout my childhood. In fact, they are the quintessential American band.

"By the third album, they were pretty much the biggest band in America.

"Somehow their music has translated across the world and has done so 40 years.

"They have been part of our culture for 40 years and I can't see that fading."
