A Wirral man has been cleared of rape allegations.
Kenneth Andrew Watts, of Grange Mount, Prenton, was found not guilty by a jury at Liverpool Crown Court of two rape charges on Monday.
Following their deliberations, lasting two and a half hours, they also acquitted him of assault causing actual bodily harm, false imprisonment and causing criminal damage to an iPhone.
It had been alleged that the offences took place on December 27 last year.
36-year-old Watts, who denied all the allegations, was discharged from the dock by Judge Alan Conrad, QC.
