THREE people have appeared in court charged with keeping a brothel following a raid in Birkenhead earlier this year.
Mike Kolokotroni, 49, of Osmaston Road, Kelly Anne Jude Reid, 40, of Woodville Road and Adam John Weir, 39, of West Road, stood side-by-side in the dock on Friday as they were each accused of managing the premises on Grange Road East between June 4, 2012 and June 4 this year.
Mr Magoo’s was closed by police in July after they received a closure order at Wirral magistrates court.
The application was made by officers under the Sexual Offences Act after the trio were charged following a raid at the premises on June 4.
Reid also faces charges relating to the possession of cannabis and amphetamine.
Both Reid and Weir refrained from entering a plea when they appeared before Wirral magistrates on Friday, while Kolokotroni pleaded not guilty.
All three will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on December 5.
They remain on unconditional bail.
